To better implement our growth strategy, we are looking for a Packaging Engineer for our site in Cisnădie.

Job Description:

As a Packaging Engineer, you will:

Designs, tests, evaluates, and approves suitable internal and external packaging materials for customers, and sets the agreed packaging parameters in the MRP system (full responsibility), in accordance with internal and external requirements.
Prepares the technical documentation for packaging.
Cooperates with other departments (technical, production, quality, purchasing) in the process of implementing new packaging, continuously improving the quality of supply, internal packaging, and customer packaging.
Prepares reports on packaging costs.
Collaborates with the company’s customers in the area of packaging sales.
Determines the type of production labels according to customer requirements in the ERP system.
Responsible for controlling the packaging/inventory flow and ensuring the required volume of returnable packaging.
Communicates correctly and on time with customers regarding packaging.
Responsible for controlling the required volume of non‑returnable packaging.

Ideal Candidate:

Higher education – preferably in technical fields.
3–5 years of experience in a similar position.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations regarding packaging for the automotive. sector (preferably mechatronics and/or electronics).
Knowledge of issues related to sustainable development and packaging ecology.
Ability to use design tools and software (AutoCAD, etc.).
Good command of English (written and spoken).
Creativity, design skills, and analytical abilities.
Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, and planning.
Active pursuit of improvement opportunities.
Customer and results orientation.
Effective communication and active listening skills.
Ability to work in a team, customer orientation, flexibility.
